This is the now familiar sound to me out of Sun Life Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins football team along with the Florida Marlins baseball team. Foam fingers, football jersey’s, and the smell of shirtless Dolphin fan’s in the humid South Florida heat all add up to the perfect Sunday afternoon on those very memorable occasion’s. Throughout my life I had always longed for my chances to hitch a ride with a family member or friend, being the backup plan for a spare ticket. And when my opportunities came I never hesitated to take the hour long ride down to that modern age coliseum. Which for Sun Life Stadium the term â€Å"coliseum† is the most proper description as its architectu ral beauty surely rivals that of Rome’s historical battlegrounds, the atmosphere can be felt from miles around to all who come to embrace the spirit of competition that is within its confides, and the long lasting memories I’ve experienced while there are to be held closely to me and each member of this brotherhood of football fans. Truly Sun Life Stadium is a place worthy of being considered more than just a tourist attraction. I hold a special significance to this stadium as I have been there before and had the pleasure of enjoying that age old test of skill called professional sports. Sun Life Stadium is known well for its architectural beauty, such as the unique swirling ramps alongside the corners of the stadium. These ramps are used to transport spectators through the level system up the stadium, while doing so also building up anticipation. Once I’ve arrived to the tunnels leading out to the stadium seats I notice the beautiful view of the spacious par king lot filled with thousands of fellow spectators, all flooding the entrance. Stepping upwards through the long dark tunnel I notice a wide wave of bright orange with speckles of vibrant teal. Next to attract my eyes are the enormous crystal clear scoreboard’s standing on either end of the massive bowl, replaying every game changing second of play in high definition. Two seated decks angled to focus attention on the field below allow even those in the â€Å"nose-bleed† section to get a good look at the action. Sun Life Stadium is constructed to hold over seventy-five thousand people on any given Sunday. The stadium itself rests on two-hundred and eighty acres of land; one-hundred and sixty of those acres comprise what resembles an over-sized orange bowl. Progressing down the nearly infinite steps I approach a specially formatted field close to one-thousand square feet, groomed to transform between a fully functional football and baseball field. All those who at tend an event at Sun Life Stadium are sure to marvel at its strikingly elegant simplicity. Competition is what has driven even the most primitive sports and the atmosphere around Sun Life Stadium is purely that, seeping into the veins of all the die-hard fans traveling towards its gates. Suspense is usually the overwhelming emotion felt within the audience as they sit on the edge of their seats, hopeful for a miracle comeback or perhaps to retain their narrow lead. As I walk around the spiral ramp towards my seat I listen to the roar of the crowd, simultaneously chanting with the announcer. People are all around me arguing over statistics, team records, and star players all trying to show their team pride. Store windows are lined with various memorabilia, selling any common item that a team insignia can be slapped on. Hundreds of concession stand employees shouting over the passing crowd, trying to entice potential customers with the thoughts of delicious treats and thirst que nching refreshments. Approaching the field, floor-shaking stomps can be felt under my feet spreading outwards on the grey floor. The loud thuds of clashing pads or the crack of a bat are followed up with the shouting of coaches as strategies for both teams are being given. In the end some have to walk away defeated and some victorious, either way the spirit of the game continues even after Sun Life Stadium is far out of my rear view mirror. Although I have many fond memories of Sun Life Stadium they all have come in just a few visits. Growing up I never had the fortune of season tickets or the pleasure of heading down to Miami on Sunday to watch my favorite team play. However, once I was near eight years old some friendly neighbors at the time took notice to my passion for sports. I still remember the day they took me to my first baseball game, I was anxious to say the least. Once I got there it was better than I had hoped for, watching a homerun soar over the left field wall off the bat of my favorite player Mike Lowell. In the souvenir shop I got a Marlins t-shirt and a poster to hang on my wall at home. A few years later some relatives of mine decided to treat me to my first Dolphins football game as a birthday present. Even though I had been to Sun Life Stadium once before it still felt like a new experience. Outside the stadium I got my first chance to tailgate, we had a few subs as I played a game of football with some fellow Dolphin fans. After finding my seat I looked around and got a sudden feeling of being under prepared. Everyone seemed to either have their face painted or was dressed from head to toe in orange and teal. How I was dressed didn’t seem to matter to them, I still got a high five and an â€Å"oh yeah! † every time the Dolphins made a good play. I never remembered a hotdog tasting as good as it did when I went for a halftime snack. I have so many memories from just those few hours of fun, and every one of them I ho pe I can relive soon. In short, Sun Life Stadium is a shining example of how far professional sports have come. The stadium represents the art and mysticism of a coliseum in a modern form, has an atmosphere filled with strong emotions, and brings great memories to everyone in the audience. Sun Life Stadium has been remodeled and had a few name changes, but its purpose stays the same. We must attempt to understand the reasons to migrate and how laws affect the various forms of migration and if there would be solutions to this practice of migration. The two main movements are involved include immigration and emigration. Immigration would be the movement of individuals into a country. Emigration is the movement of individuals from their home country. The balance between emigration and immigration would be known as net migration and this can be either positive or negative. Positive would be when immigration exceeds emigration and negative would be the reverse of that process. (Kar, 2006, 187) There are many different influences and consequences relative to migration for anyone that moves from where they originated. Factors that would have to do with migration include the economic growth and development of the country that people are leaving, specifically GDP, the level of domestic development, and finally income and quality of life within the countries. Another two factors include how urbanized an area would be and variations in that consideration along with levels of education that would in fact be available for children across the country of origin in place of isolated areas. Occasionally, the amount of US influence on a country can either adversely or conversely affect the amount of migration. We see this today as we build walls along the US and Mexican border. We see it in the denials for migrants that are entering this country from all over the world as the numbers increase exponentially. The US has gone so far as to create the Homeland Security office to ensure that human trafficking is policed, and have created new laws to create fencing between the US and Mexican border to prevent more immigrants from entering the country illegally. An attempt at appeasement for Mexico in regard to what was known as the bill to create a guest worker program failed in gaining the necessary acceptance. (Fletcher, 2003, 343) Migration from Mexico has generated a sizeable Mexican-born population in the United States. Mexican estimates compute this population in the range of 8 to 8.5 million, of which the non-authorized component is estimated between 3 and 3.5 million. The US Census Bureau estimates that there are more than nine million Mexican immigrants living in the United States. Of these, approximately 4.7 million, or over half, are undocumented. However, about 1.6 million, or one in five Mexicans, are naturalized US citizens (MPI, 2002, 1). Regulation and policing will only go so far in slowing the amount of migration. Force rarely facilitates the ability to have residents of one country to remain in that country and there have been no recent incentives to have many of them stay in their own countries. The US may provide aid, and this may actually end up causing further migration in place of bringing a halt to it. Aid is not always the answer, unless that aid is universal in content coming from many donors in place of one. Pride And Prejudice Essay Thesis The novel Pride and Prejudice is about five sisters and the things that happen on their way to getting married. The sisters are Jane, Elizabeth, Kitty, Mary and Lydia. The Bennet sisters all live with their parents at Longbourn. A new neighbor comes to live in the area of the family, named Mr. Bingley. Bingley catches the interest of most everyone in the area, but he seems to be especially fond of Jane. Bingleys friend, Mr. Darcy, is not so well taken as Bingley himself is. Darcy is seen as too proud and overall not as nice a person as Bingley, but both are wealthy. Mr. Collins, the cousin and heir to the Bennet estate, asked Elizabeth to marry him and she said no. Close to this time Bingley, Darcy and the rest of their group left Netherfield to go back to London. This left Jane alone and although she acted fine about it most of the time, she was upset about Bingley going. The sisters received letters from Caroline Bingley, they told of Bingleys likely marriage to Darcys sister. The news just about ended the idea of Jane and Bingley marrying. Within Austens novel Pride and Prejudice there are marriages that occur because of strong passionate love. First the most obvious marriage for love was between Jane Bennett and Charles Bingley who instantly fell for one another. Although some opposed and actively tried to keep them apart, the love they had for each other brought them together in the end. The marriage between Elizabeth Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy, although their connection started out in a negative light, both finally realized, in their own time how much they cared for one another thus leading to their marriage. The marriage between Lydia Bennett and George Wickham, although no love between them existed, the love that Darcy felt for Elizabeth made him pay off Wickhams debt. In turn this forced Wickham to marry Lydia to save the Bennett family name. This novel just goes to show how love can conquer all. The connection between Jane and Bingley was instantaneous. From when they first saw each other at the dance they bo th knew there was something between them. However any relationship between them was opposed by some because of Janes financial status. For example Caroline Bingley acted as if she was fond of Jane only to write her a letter telling Jane that Darcy was settled in London probably never to return to Hertfordshire again. She did this because she would have rather seen her brother and Miss. Darcy together because they both can bring money to the marriage. Even Darcy admits of trying to keep them apart, as he admits in his letter to Elizabeth I had detached Mr. Bingley from your sister (Austen, 2003, p 185). The match between Jane and Bingley was frowned upon because Bingley came from money and Jane had no money to bring into the marriage. However Bingleys love for Jane was strong enough to make money seem obsolete. He eventually makes a deal with Janes father and proposes to Jane. The connection between Elizabeth and Darcy took a bit longer to develop. In their initial meeting Elizabeth frowned upon Darcy because of his pompous manner. As time goes on Darcy falls for Elizabeth, but Elizabeth still has no feelings for Darcy. Elizabeth is convinced by Wickham that Darcy is not a person worth Elizabeths feelings. However he is proven wrong when Elizabeth visits Darcys estate and is told by Darcys help how agreeable of a man he is. Once the news of Darcy and Elizabeths feelings for each other starts to spread there relationship is protested by Lady Catherine when she comes to Elizabeth and asks Tell me once and for all, are you engaged to him? I am not. And will you promise me never to enter into such an engagement? (Austen, 2003, p 331). Elizabeth of course denies Lady Catherines request and is soon engaged to Darcy after his second proposal to her. The connection between Lydia and Wikham only occurred because of Darcys love for Elizabeth. Wikham was running from his gambling debt and Lydia went with him without being married. In doing this Lydia shammed her family and made her other sisters unmarriageable. The only way the Bennett family could right her wrong would be to disowned her or to have her and Wickham married. Neither of these option seemed possible until Darcy came through and paid Wickhams debt and in turn forced Wickham to marry Lydia. Darcy only did this because he loved Elizabeth so much and greatly wanted to marry her. In conclusion the connection between Jane and Bingley and Elizabeth and Darcy never had anything to do with money. It was always surrounded by love. Although Lucy and Wickhams marriage had nothing to do with their own love, had Darcy not loved Elizabeth the way he did Lucy and Wickham would have never been married. Austen showed an importance of money within a marriage in her novel Sense and Sensibility and yet in Pride and Prejudice I feel she surrounded the marriages with love rather than money. These codes restricted African Americans from owning property, from making certain purchases, and from having a job, and sometimes from even seeking work. The Thirteenth Amendment did not erase all racial problems by any means. In fact, African Americans were prevented from holding public offices, they were not allowed to vote, nor were they able to purchase land. Interestingly, the issue of voting was one that never reached the High Court and, as a result, many African Americans were not allowed their share of offices. (Norton 450). Some religious organization such the catholic churches would have the layperson believe it better to be poor because it easier to enter heaven. The bible portrays the difficulty of a wealthy person giving up their wealth to follow Jesus Christ. This tends to make the lower class think it okay to be poor because they will have less to lose for the sake of the kingdom of God. Therefore Interactionist tend to examine the simply aspects of society, for instance, they study the interaction of people within specific institutions such as religion. These interaction can be observed in ones belief systems, and how such systems help society understand the things we experience in our everyday lives. Interactionism was first developed in the United States. George Herbert Mead is widely regarded as the founder the interactionist perspective often credited with founding the Interactionist perspective. Mead taught at the University of Chicago, and he pay attention to individualizes setting and small intimate groups. Meads teaching has led other moved away from macro social behavior to the micro level. He would concentrate on body language such as a facial expression, and how it effected other in the group mood. (Schaefer, 2009, p.17). Interactionists say that social change occurs when the positions and communication with one another change. The main idea of an Interactionist sociologist is to study nonverbal communication and small groups paying particular attentions to objects and symbols .(Schaefer, 2009, p.16) Within this theory, it has been stated religion is seen as a reference group, for many people, religion serves as a reference group to help them define themselves. This is where the functionalist and Interactionist theory find common ground; both perspectives see religion as a positive force, which provide a stabilizing factor within a society. Both also agree that religion can enrich an individuals life and enhances an individuals ability to deal with some of the difficulties in life. Regardless it is clear through the research of both perspectives that religion brings people within society, together; therefore adding a harmonizing and supportive structure with the society and or culture. An example of this is the civil rights movement of the 1960s. The U.S. civil rights movement is perhaps the best example of a social movement drawing on religious resources to accomplish its goals. Both religious leaders and laity were active in the civil rights movement. Congregations provided material resources necessary for large-scale political action, acted as conduits for frame dissemination and provided an ideal setting for the micro mobilization process to occur. The issue of abortion has strong ties to the institution of religion within the United States. While the three sociological perspectives have differing views on the institution of religion, they also see religion as a force within society that can motivate and facilitate social change and movement within a society. He also believes that this is not an infinite possibility and that there must be a start and an end and without the middle there will be no beginning or end. Again, he offers an argument that in no way proves the existence of God. Aquinas appears to be filling in the lack of answers with the existence of God and not rebutting the holes that his argument leaves open. When I turn on the light switch in my room, I am essentially the first mover and I am the creator of that light. Does this make me God because I wield the power of light at my fingertips or are there better explanations of how the light came to be? Aquinas’s third argument is simply that nothing can exist from nothing; therefore, there had to be something in existence to create this world and that was God. This argument is based on the pure assumption that nothing comes from nothing and that something can cause something. For one to assume such a thing would be completely absurd because this lacks any evidence. Similarly, Aquinas’s argument assumes a creator and fails to give adequate proof of this creator’s existence. The fourth argument that Aquinas presents is that of gradation. He states that all things have a minimum and a maximum or the worst and the best and uses the example of fire—fire is the maximum of heat. He further concludes that all beings are caused by something and that there must be a greatest of that being of which it was created by and that being is God. â€Å"Therefore there must be something which is to all beings the cause of their being, goodness, and every other perfection. † This argument explains why there can be evil in the world because God is the most good of us all and we are lesser than God. What this argument fails to describe is the idea of what is greater than God. Would there not be a more powerful, more good, more perfect being in which created God? The fifth and final argument that Aquinas presents is that all beings are on a path and lack the knowledge of that path. Thus all beings are guided by a greater being with more knowledge who directs them. Regardless if God were to exist or not, all beings are bound to die. Is that the path that God is directing us toward? There are plenty of people in the world who do not believe in the existence of God and they are not immortal, their lives still come to an end. To a non believer or skeptic living a life without guidance or acceptance of God will die just as that of a believer in God. So if God were to show us the way to the end, how can the two parties reach the same ending, one with guidance and one without? While Aquinas does make some very good points on why one should or does believe in the existence of God, he in no why proves anything of the sort. His assertions are all based on the presumption that there is a God and that he is the answer to all things without solid proof.

Evaluation on two theories of cognitive development This essay I will look at the similarity and the differences between Piagets and Vygotskys theories in explanation of child cognitive development. Particularly it will describe their theories on the importance of social interactions in influencing development. I will give a brief overview of the four stages of Piagets theories. Piagets and Vygotskys theories will then be evaluate, with key terms explained. I aim to show that Vygotskys theory placed far more emphasis on social interactions in childrens cognitive development than Piaget, and that their theories were informed by their own cultural influence. Cognitive development theory explains how humans obtain and construct knowledge of themselves and their planet. The theory of cognitive development was first proposed by Jean Piaget, however there are other major theoretical approaches to cognitive development, as well as those of Vygotsky. Piaget approached the subject from a biological and life perspective, while Vygotsky approached the subject from an environmental and culture perspective. I will look at the impact both theories have had on child development, I will, also look at the differences along with others, as well as the resemblance of Piagets and Vygotskys theories and evaluate them. Piagets theory focuses on intelligence and how it changes as children grow up. While, Vygotskys theory centres on the social action and he defines intelligence as the capacity to learn from teaching. We will also look at the impact both Piaget and Vygotskys theories have had on education and how they have been applied to education. Piagets theory is about child intellectual development and the gaining of knowledge. While Vygotskys main theory was how culture influence development, through language and the society. Jean Piaget was born on August 1896 and died 1980 (56 years old), he studied the development of childrens understanding, through examing and paying attention to children while he carried out his experiments. According to Piaget cognitive development occurs through the interaction of innate capacities with environmental events and progresses through a series of hierarchical, qualitative different and stages (Gross 2005). All children pass through Piaget stages in the same level without missing anyone of them, except if the child has brain damage or brain problem. Rather than trying to explain individual differences why some children are more intelligent than others Piaget was interested in how intelligence itself changes as children grow (Gross 2010). Important feature of Piagets theory was schemas, Piaget saw schema as mental structures which organise past experiment and provide a means of understanding future experiences. As we grow so our schema become increasingly complex (Gross 2005). Assimilation, Accommodation and Equilibration are the three courses of Adaptation expressed by Piagets theory. Assimilation is the process by which we incorporate new information into existing schema. For example babies will reflexively suck a nipple and other objects, such as a finger (Gross 2010). Accommodation into schemas enables children to make sense of and deal with the world. Piaget argues that children are active in exploring the world and, in general, do not need instruction or examples from others to develop their cognitive abilities. Development will take place solely through the childs own actions on the environment in a form of discovery learning where others are facilitators not teachers. Piagets Stages theory of Cognitive Development, Piaget suggests that all children develop through four stages and they all develop in the same role, these stages are Sensori-motor, Pre-operational, Concrete operational and Formal operational. The first stage was Sensori-motor stage which initially occurs from birth to two years of childs life. Infants learn about the world primarily through their sense (sensori-), and by doing (motor) (Gross 2005).An important discovery during the sensori-motor stage is the object permanence. An infant will look where an object disappears for a few moment but wont search for it. If the object doesnt reappear the infant apparently loses interest. Piagets demonstrate the limited object performance of babies between eight and twelve months. They can retrieve a hidden object only from its original hiding place, not where it was last hidden. Not until about twelve months will they search under the cushion where they last saw the object hidden (Gross 2005). The second stage was Pre-operational stage this take place between the age of two and four years. The infant begins to utilise symbols to classify objects. Objects are also personified by the infant and they are able to think about events that are not directly present. The infant is not yet able to conceptualise time. At this stage the infant will take information and adjust it to fit his ideas. The child tends to be influenced by the things seen, rather than by logical principles or operations (Gross 2010). According to Piaget pre-operational children are egocentrism that is they see the world from their own standpoint and cannot appreciate that other people might see things differently, they can not put themselves in other peoples shoes (Gross 2005). Also Piaget study of conservation is the understanding that any quantity such as fluid, numbers or lengths remains the same regardless of a visual change for example, if a fluid is transfer from a short large glass to a high slim glass a child at this stage would say that there was more liquid in the slim glass or that there was more fluid in the large glass. The third stage was Concrete Operations stage, this take place between the ages of seven to eleven years. This stage the child is now capable of performing logical operations, but only in the presence of actual objects (Gross 2010). One remaining problem for the concrete operational child is transitivity task (Gross 2005). For example, if you tell a child that Jean is taller than Pat and Pat is taller than Carol and asked whether Jean or Carol is taller, children under eleven cannot solve this problem entirely in their heads, they can only solve it using real objects such as toys. The last stage was Formal Operations stage this take place at the age of eleven to fifteen years and associates the individual with no longer requiring concrete objects to make rational judgments. The individual is capable of deductive and hypothetical reasoning and their ability of thinking is similar to that of an adult. Lev Vygotsky was born the same year as Piaget (1896, died 1934) was particularly interested in the relationship between being taught by adults and the child cognitive development. He developed his theories at around the same time as Piaget, Vygotskys theory is known as the social development theory. Vygotsky and Piaget agree that development doesnt occur in a vacuum, knowledge is constructed as a result of the childs active interaction with the environment (Gross 2010). Vygotsky outline alternative to Piagets theory. Vygotsky believed that cognitive learning was a social event, which through language and interaction with other children and adults, children would begin to learn about and challenge their surroundings. Three themes unified Vygotskys theory of social constructivism and they are: Culture, central role of language and the zone of proximal growth (Oates et al. 2005). Cultural tools are what the child inherits, these can be technological such as bicycles and other physical devices (Gross 2005). Culture tool can pass from one individual to another copied learning. Instructed learning Involves remembering the instructions of the teacher and then using these instructions to learn. Children dont need to reinvent the world anew as Piaget seemed to believe. They can benefit from the accumulated wisdom of previous generations (Gross 2005). The central role of language, as a child begins to speak, his thought processes also begin to develop. In essence, it is language which directs behaviour. Vygotsky describes three stages in the development of speech. Each of these three stages of speech has its own function. Speech Stages are Social Speech (external speech), Egocentric Speech, and Inner Speech. Social Speech (external speech) at this stage a child uses speech to direct the behaviour of others. A child uses speech to communicate feelings and emotions such as weeping when hungry and laughing when happy. Egocentric Speech In this stage, a child often talk to him or herself, regardless of someone paying attention to them. At this speech stage they think out loud, they may also talk about what they are doing as they are doing it, they reason that language must be said to direct their behaviour (slideshare.net, 29/01/11). Inner Speech is a soundless speech used by older children and adults. It allows us to direct our thinking and behaviour. Here we are able to engage in all forms of higher mental functions. In this stage one is able to count in ones head, use logical memory-inherent relationships, and inner signs (slideshare.net, 29/01/11). The zone of proximal development (ZPD) defined those functions that havent yet matured but are in the process of maturing (Vygotsky, 1978). Scaffolding refers to the kind of guidance and support adults provide children in the zone of proximal development by which children acquire their knowledge and skills (Wood Wood, 1996), although scaffolding those not actually explain how children internalise what the teacher provides (Gross 2005). Piagets and Vygotskys theories have same things in common, both hold a constructive view, Piagets assimilation look like Vygotskys appropriation, however they disagree on point of influence of social interactions in childrens cognitive development. Vygotskys theory emphasise the value of language and social interaction in a childs cognitive development. Vygotsky recognised the importance that different culture can take part in a childs cognitive development. In conclusion, Piagets stage theory is useful in describing the basic process of child cognitive development. However, because development cannot take place in the social vacuum, Piagets theory is limited. Vygotskys emphasis on social interactions influence better accounts for the everyday development of childrens cognitive abilities. when you evaluate Piagets to Vygotskys you clearly note that, both theories agreed that the child must mentally construct knowledge, on the other hand, Vygotsky placed emphasis on the role of social interaction in this construction process. David Merrill’s Component Display Theory Introduction David Merrill’s Component Display Theory is based primarily on the same assumptions as Robert Gagne’s Events of Instruction. They both agree that different types of learning require different types of procedures for teaching as well as different types of assessment means. However, the component display theory is primarily concerned with teaching individual concepts and arranges instruction to provide learner control (Braxton, Bronico, and Looms, 1). What is the Component Display Theory? The component display theory is design strategy for designing instruction. It focuses on a single idea or objective at a time. It is used mostly after a task analysis has been performed (Anglin, 1995). The component display theory provides a list of prescriptions for designing instruction for different kinds of instructional outcomes. The component display theory is a type of analysis that emphasizes on different components of instruction for different types of instructional goals. The component display theory is an attempt to create the best combination of instructional strategies to produce a particular learning outcome (Reigeluth, 1999). The component display theory is divided into two parts: content and performance. The content dimension is comprised of facts, concepts, procedures, and principles. The performance dimension is comprised of remembering, using, finding, and generalities. (Merrill, 1). The different dimensions of the component display theory are related in a matrix format. The component display theory is used to design an instructional strategy. The first step is to identify the performance level and content classification. This is accomplished by comparing the instructional objective with the content classification. The second step is to examine the primary presentation forms. The four primary presentation forms are rules, examples, recall and practice. Depending on the performance level desired and then content classification, a different performance presentation is preferred. This also includes determining the practice requirements. Rules: expository presentation of a generality Examples: expository presentation of instances Recall: inquisitory generality Practice: inquisitory instance *Definition Source: Merrill The third step is to examine the secondary presentation forms. The secondary presentation forms include prerequisites, objectives, helps, mnemonics, and feedback. These "outline specific considerations which enable students to acquire the concepts more effectively" (Anderton, Parry, Twitchell, 1990). They are also more elaborative and supply more information than the primary presentation forms. The three steps above provide a guideline for constructing an instructional design strategy. However, each step of this design process will involve different variables and constraints depending on the type of instruction being designed.

When a parent reads aloud to their children, they are also teaching their children to read. As the pages turn, the children are intently watching, following every word on the page, learning that the words go from left to right and flow in a certain fashion. They will, through spoken osmosis, learn how to read on their own. The longer this continues, and with a great deal of frequency, the more proficient of a reader they will become. Parents also should read aloud to their children so that are heard enjoying the books, and the children. This bond will unite them, and the stories will also help them to learn things of importance. Books should be selected together, during regular visits to the local library or book store. This will give the child a sense of autonomy and ownership over the story, which may hold their attention for a longer period.
